The vault of Vauclair

lozere_162This vault is thus a few kilometres from Molompize, by going up the throats of Alagnon. Built with the XIIth century, it was dependent on the chapter of the cathedral of Saint-Flour  and was an important pilgrimage.

It was classified historic building in 1921 and was restored recently. In the vault, discharges and remainders of a painting representing rising energies.lozere_155

The vault accomodated a few years ago a black virgin in majesty which is now in the  Sainte Foy de Molompize church. The one you can see currently inside is a reproduction.

A marvellous legend tells that the women of the village found their “good Virgin” in the middle of wood. Transported in the church of Bonnac, it returned alone in its retirement of the forest. To receive it more comfortably the inhabitants of Vauclair built a vault to him. It is Sunday nearest to September 8 that the pilgrims flow to celebrate the lady. For more precision, you have to see molompize.

Right before arriving on the site, in the mountain, a cave opens. I know that a Carmelite nun remained several years as a hermit in the place. Is this there, or is this quite simply in this cave which was perpetrated the old worship with MATER, materia PRIMA, black virgin depths of the nourishing earth, goddess-mother of the fertility?lozere_163

I did not have time to make the study of the networks passing by there, but I would not be astonished that there is a beautiful crossing down there… And even, to look at if the line previously quoted in the vault of Madeleine with Massiac would not be there for some-thing!
