Notre-Dame of Vernusses
Notre-Dame
de Vernusse is a virgin in majesty in drowning of XIIème century. It is
72 cm high. Until the revolution, it was always venerated in the young
elm or it was discovered. However, Vernusse comes from “vern”, which
wants to say alder…
It is for the moment in a small vault, in the middle of the hamlet of Vernusses, on the commune of Bresnay. This black virgin of any beauty seems forgotten of all. Fortunately, recently, the mayor promised that it would send somebody from time to time to clean the place. The lady is connected to Notre-Dame de Rocamadour and works with fire.
