The black virgin of Meillers
Since
always, Meillers and its area were devoted to the goddess-mother, then
with the virgin. The black virgin of Meillers is a virgin in majesty of
XI th century, which was strengthened in XV th. the popular belief
makes of it a gift of Saint Louis and the history would like that it
was brought back from Palestine by a lord of Bourbon.
There
were in Moulins two black virgins, of which one works of a local
sculptor. The black virgin stopped in 1655 the fire which started to
destroy the city, by the action of an inhabitant who threw in the
flames the coat of the statue.
There was habit to make burn in front of Notre-Dame de Moulins a wax wheel, solar symbol of regeneration, as in Marsat

Notre-Dame de Valfleury
There was an old vault dedicated to the virgin where ran an healer source. Notre Dame de Valfleury was found, the Christmas day before, a little before year 800. A shepherd saw a broom in flowers. While having drawn aside the branches, it found the statue. The priest transported it in the church, and the following day, it was found in its bush…
Once again a Christian symbol comes to bind to the rock, with the old source, like if the old places of worship pouvaint to separate from new.
The same forces of the ground and the sky give privileged places
following one another in the course of time. The many spontaneous
miracles and cures indexed during last centuries prove the importance
of the forces of Valfleury.

Notre-Dame of the crusades
I
present the lady of the crusades to you. A black virgin was venerated
in Thuret since the seventh crusade, was preach in Le Puy in front of
Saint louis and the lords of Thuret. This one dates from the XVIIth
century and has being reproduced on the model of old. She opens to us
the doors of the therapeutic church of Thuret.
