Mother-fountain, in Brocéliande

It appears that it is the key source of all water of the forest. It was collected by the owner, a few years ago.

The basins druidic are still present, the first, round, where collecting is. It is drained. The second, square, are used as outfall with the source. The third, rectangular, is hidden under the watery plants.

The spring water remains a water healer, it is enough to pay the homage to him which she deserves.

Hotié of Viviane

It is a walk shady of more than 4.000 years, of new type in the area. It was formerly called the tomb of the druids.

Yes, it is a tomb, but virtual, initiatory. It is the test of the ground of the impétrants…

It is surrounded by a circle of small stones, signs of old a tumulus

The fountain of Barenton

The fountain of Barenton summarizes the magic of Brocéliande perfectly: it is necessary, to find this fountain, to be inserted in the middle of the forest. It has heavy passed or history and legend are mèlent, it is said that its water is curative and that they have the capacity to cure the chronic diseases. It was a sanctuary for the Celtic religion. The druids had installed a school there and a hospital and celebrated there their worship dedicated to the solar god Bélénos, god of the lightning and the sources, large god healer. The name of the fountain in the feudal texts is besides Balenton, or Beleton, names which approach by consonnance the name the god. broc_liande_0521

broc_liande_176broc_liande_1461 It is also said that it is there that Merlin will renconrtra Viviane for the first time, and that was born their love. It is there too that Chrétien of Troyes locates the action of its novel “the knight at the lion”.

It seems that the site was christianized after the departure of the druids, by the construction of a vault beside the fountain, the disappearance of this vault following the arrival in the area of a strange character, Eon of Star, with the XII ème century.

Finally Barenton is, since Chrétien of Troyes and by the novelists of the XVI ème century, the site where the water drawn with the fountain and poured on the stone called “the perron of Merlin”, starts in the hour the storm and the indescribable storms near to last cataclysm. The legend was transformed into popular belief, leading successive generations to go to processions to require the rain.

The vault Jean Saint

broc_liande_0491Undoubtedly founded by the Hospital ones of about Midsummer's Day of Jerusalem, it is thought that the vault belonged at the origin with the knights about Templiers. That they are the Hospital ones or Templiers, the moved back and wild site was favourable with the military religious orders.

During the One hundred Year old war one locked up English prisoners in the old hermitage (ruined today) surrounding the vault. This hermitage and especially the long flagstones of schist which level the ground, add to the magic of the atmosphere. Downwards, with the hollow of a hedge, the fountain traditionally related to the worship of Midsummer's Day is. Formerly, one came in procession on June 24.

The church is perhaps posed on an old stone quarry….Let us say how the tailors left for a very long time!
Beautiful place in any case.
There is under the door a drain dug in the stone, which leaves think that there was a source inside.
And on the furnace bridge (seen by a window, the church is closed of course) a beautiful pattée cross.broc_liande_048

Holy fountain Apolline

"" Jour of Holy-Apolline renfrogné, they is three beautiful summer months which it kept us. ""

A beautiful small fountain where people of the corner come to fill of the bottles for their personal consumption.broc_liande_054broc_liande_0581To always make confidence with the good direction of the autochtones…

The trees upstream deviate, letting pass miraculous water. One would say well a photo example for the telluric networks.

The garden of the monks

The site is divided into three parts like the cathedrals and certain churches, which symbolize the three plans of conscience (physical, spirit, heart). Energies are in general gradual and the vibratory rate of the future initiate increases gradually whereas it penetrates the place. We are in the presence of a gold rectangle, prolonged by a square.

Of a 27 meters length, the ground mass is bordered of 27 small drawn up blocks from the northern side and 26 southern side. It is built alternatively out of quartz and red schist.

All philosophies and religions consider that the man can rise towards spirituality by three successive stages:  world of passions (physical) in the world of appearances (spirit) then in the world of nonappearance (heart), rectangle of the physical life to the square of the spiritual life then to the circle of the divine life. And one of these limits is perhaps related to the chimney which one can feel towards the third part of the site. A telluric wave is also in full center with what one could call the chorus of the old temple.broc_liande_113
