Menhir of Lou Donat

The Lavoute-on-Loire has a very beautiful menhir. The needle measures more than 2 meters 60. It is posed in immediate edge of the Loire. The poor one is with the abandonment, surrounded by nettles and protected by hawthorn hedges. Even the inhabitants of the village do not know the éxistence of it! It works in sphere O.R.L.  It was obviously very glad to be able to speak with somebody…

Lavoûte on the Loire

With the turning of a way… The Romance church of the XII ème century, classified historic building, with single nave, is the only building of the vicinity having crossed the test of time without too much damage. In front of, a fountain liberally gives its water to the villagers. Definitely less since the water-company collected upstream elsewhere… Inside, a small lady of Puy takes care, protected by a wrought iron grid. All in top, almost hidden, two statues make us a wink.
