The Holy mount Michel d' Aiguilhe

The place crowned by exellence…photos_par_rem_287
At the beginning, an immense lake, then a volcano which nait in the middle of its water. The dyke appeared when the volcano was érrodé. Powerful Tellurism… Crowned mountain, protected by the difficulty of reaching the top of it.

One finds at the entry of lescalier assembling to the sanctuary a porch, presenting éclatoirs, for making well circulate formidable energy releasing itself from the rock mass. Moreover, one often finds the dragon in the form of a nice guard, not easy to take in photograph… But good, if one asks nicely, it is let make!

It is here that the pélerinage of Compostelle finishes. (small recall for those which forgot that the way, it is a return ticket.)

polignac_291The steps are there to insert to us in the sanctuary while being prepared, even thing that in Rocamadour, Holy the Balsam, the mount Saint Michel, etc… It is necessary to be able to enter in oneself even in order to find itself and to present itself in front of that or that which one comes to visit.

The pediment

photos_par_rem_293Two sirens leaving the purifying bath, (proof if it is presence of powerful earth currents). On both sides, an outgoing phoenix of the palm trees (sybole of immortality and regeneration) or an eagle, solar symbol by exellence, then a man emerging of the foliage and holding 3 flowers of lily (even symbol, but on the human level: it is the follower triumphing over died having given up the “old man”).

The temple of Diane, vault St Clear

Funerary Officielement vault of the old holy hospital Nicolas, founded at the end of the XI ème century.

On the symbolic system plan, the presence of the temple of Diane to the bottom of the rock is explained by the cosmic analogy. Diane, divinity incarnating the moon, is with the bottom of the rock dedicated to a solar divinity, as the moon is with nadir when the sun is with its zenith.

So that the sanctuary is complete, it is necessary that the two polarities of the worship are present. It is the perfect expression of the duality and the complementarity of the divine principles. One finds exactly same symbolism with the solar worship of Michel saint and the female/lunar worship of the black virgin. Here, we have each side of the entry two pillars respectively sinistrogyric and dextrogyre.polignac_271 Éclatoirs everywhere on the capitals and the pediments…

Beside the church a small place with the fountain made by the Crozatier architect is, with in his center a beautiful Michel Saint embanking the dragon.polignac_269photos_par_rem_289

The St Mickaël's rock

The climbing of the rock is an initiatory course. The staircase in spiral is poctué of three oratories and de268 steps. (three: an initiatory number). Their dedication assure us the healer role of Michel saint.

First is dedicated to the Gabriel archangel “forces of God”, at the beginning of the way, and corresponds tost_michel_bourges_le_puy_v_zelay_035__1600x1200_the Annunciation, the beginning of the philosopher's stone. It is in the influence of the moon.

Second is dedicated to the Raphaël archangel “cure of God”, corresponds to mercury (without comments)

Third is dedicated to… holy Guignefort! It is a Breton saint (celtism) who passes to cure amongst other things, sterilities of the woman. (the mount, large menhir?) But “guigner” in slang wants to say… to look well by blinking eyes! Then let us look at… It misses us an archangel, that which was unobtrusive, the Uriel archangel who is related to initiation.

Finally we arrive at the sanctuary of Michel saint “who is like God”, corresponding to the sun. It incarnates the illumination, the victory over oneself even and the forces lower.

All in top of the sanctuary, an anfractuosity in the rock, and….a little water! And on the frontage, two niches cut in the stone make it possible to the pilgrims to be connected directly to the forces of the vault.polignac_302polignac_283

The cloister of Le Puy

The cloitre is rectangular: 30,75 meters by 19. The report/ratio of these two numbers gives Phi. We thus have here a gilded rectangle. Other divine proportions: in the length, we have 10 arcades and 5 in the width, 153 capitals.polignac_203p1020803__1600x1200_

Unfortunately, the unit was restored with the XIX ème century and it became difficult to interpret symbolism.

The chapter house gives in the gallery is cloitre. The door is framed by 4 columns including two very rare, which is known as “heavy showers”. Their relief is not other than the metaphor of water of the styx which the Greeks were to cross after their death. To cross the threshold, between these two columns heavy showers, it is thus symbolically to cross Styx and to penetrate in the kingdom of the shades, the vault of deaths.

p1020784__1600x1200_polignac_208

On the tympanum, the broken line translated the same concept, the rafter being symbol of water. It has 8 points (a number christic, of the future life) and 12 balls (allusion to the 12 months of the year, with the signs of the zodiac, consequently at the time rythmé by the race of the sun). The balls are also used for to éclatoir with energies.

One of the capitals of time represents two lions retained by a cord whose ends do not intertwine to do any more but one of them. The two lions draw each one on their side. They are attached against their liking and one sees well that they want to scratch and to bite. They are Cèrbère, the guards of the threshold, solar nature. Their bond is the cosmic axis because it goes down from in top, it links them in only one body. Identical but antagonistic, representation of the duality in us. On the alchemical level, they are the green lion and the red lion, two secret mercuries.

Le puy, the legend

At the time Gallo-Roman, a matron suffering from a tough fever, inspired by a vision, went on the mount Anis, more known nowadays under the name of rock crow. There it fell asleep, exhausted. With her alarm clock, the virgin trônant on a dolmen entrusted her desire to him to have a church in these places. Its fever had disappeared. George saint, then évèque of Velay, went to the site. Although in full July, the ground was covered with snow on which a stag drew its shoes the layout of a church. The money missed and the évèque one was satisfied to mark the layout by a hedge of thorny bushes. The following day, the hedge was covered with flowers. Time passed, then another miraculous cure took place under similar conditions: the virgin renewed her wish.

polignac_169

The évèque one of the time, Vozy, was in Rome to require the authorization of the pope to build a church. Scutaire, senator and Roman architect would have been in charge of construction.

The completed church, the bishop moved again towards Rome to require the dedication of it. In way, with the locality “the three stones”, two old men equipped with white their advised to turn over from where they came, charged them of relics and disappeared on these words: ” we precede you and will vacquerons with all. “When Vozy and Scutaire arrived at Anis, they found their church bathed of a light unreal and the bells animated by invisible beings.

The dedication of the first church was the work of the angels says one. For this reason, it was called room angelica.

Scutaire carried out the first church between 415 and 430. In same time it transferred its episcopal see from Espally to Puy. Puy-in-Velay is, with Chartres, the oldest sanctuary marial of Gaule Christian woman. One found under the paving stone of the chorus the foundations of this first church which measured 12 m X 24 Mr.

The stone was integrated in the church, and it was certainly the reason of its request in Rome, not needing absolutely the agreement of the pope to build a church.

polignac_179

This church was thus built on the remainders of a Roman temple dedicated to Adidon and Auguste. This sanctuary was drawn up at the sides of a miraculous source and sheltered itself the dolmen, proof of the seniority of the worship in these places.  Puy is in the center of an immense star whose rays leave towards as many megaliths or specifically crowned Celtic sites. Jacques Derderian (with which I very often make loans, “the puy, high-place esoteric” with the Dervy editions) speaks even about Puy like a crowned center druidic, that of the south, Chartres being that of north.

Let us speak about the epigraph from where the name from Adidon.C' is drawn is a text of dedication addressed to the emperor and a divinity: “A Adidon and with Auguste, Sextus Talonius, musician made do this of its sums of money.”

From which does Adidon come? Prefixes Adi and Don termination: Ani Dun, hill of the Ana goddess…

The matron laid down on the stone? Celtic ritual with appearance of the stag (Cernunnos)

Snows in July? Opposed to the sun and the lion zodiacal of July, snow incarnates the female principle which will undergo fecundation essential to the blossoming of the life. (operated by the stag, the furrow being symbol of the sex act, primitive version of the Immaculate Conception). The bush of spine is there to confirm fecundation, the following day.

Old men? making of the capacities, symbolized by the relics, of the druids to the persons in charge for the Christian religion. In exchange, the dolmen will be preserved and the virgin will be black.

Former bishops of the puy they were druids converted with the faith of Christ, by obligation?

Le Puy, the black virgin

See: http://lieuxsacres.canalblog.com/archives/vierges_noires__fichier/index.html

The statue of the XVIIe century, which is currently on the high altar comes the old Saint-Maurice vault from the Refuge.polignac_182

It was crowned by the bishop of Puy in the name of the Black and white Pope IX, on June 8, 1856, birthday day of the destruction of the preceding effigy which was burned by the ultra-revolutionaries of Louis Guyardin (the representative of Convention on mission in Haute-Loire) on June 8, 1794, day of Pentecost, become that of the Supreme Being.polignac_198

With Xe century, the council of Puy had authorized for the first time the reliquaries in round bump with the human image, from where the flowering of the statues known as “chiefs” and the Virgins in majesty initially in the center of France, then in all the country. The black Virgin of Puy could contain relics, being oldest known, it is completely possible that she was used as model with the others.

There does not remain any trace of the image of the Virgin venerated in the cathedral before the end of Xe century, if not some hypothetical representations. At that time, it would have been replaced by that offered by the king Louis IX (Saint-Louis) to the return of the 7th crusade.

Faujas of Saint-Fons A could study it with leisure, it left, in 1777, a very faithful description and a drawing certainly.

It was about a statue in cedar representing the Virgin sitting on a throne, the Jesus Child on the knees. If the faces from there Mother and the Child were of a dark black, the hands, on the other hand, were painted in white. On the face of Marie were detached from the glass eyes and a disproportionate nose. The Virgin was vêtue of a dress of Eastern style in the red tone, blue-green and ochre and was crowned of a kind of earphone out of gilded copper, decorated ancient cameos. The statue was entirely wrapped several bands of a rather fine fabric, strongly stuck on wood and painted. According to Faujas of Saint-Fons, it was about a very old statue of Isis, which one had metamorphosed as a Virgin, It is true that statuettes of Isis holding Osiris on the knees resembles to him in a striking way.

st_michel_bourges_le_puy_v_zelay_005

In January 1794, the torn off Black Virgin of its furnace bridge was stripped of her richnesses and was relegated to the Files. One remembered it unfortunately: on June 8, 1794, Whit Sunday, the representatives of the revolutionary capacity sought it to burn it place of Martouret. When the coated fabrics of color had finished being consumed, a small secret door practised in the back of the statue opened and a kind of parchment rolled in ball left there; in spite of the protests, one did not seek to know what it contained. (Wikipédia)

polignac_200

According to the study of Derderian, the black virgin of Puy is of celto-Gallic origin. “the antiquated character like the antiquity and the fame of its worship, one explicant the other, comes from the continuity faithful of the worship of the large goddess-mother vévérée to Puy under the name of Anis, that a probably Christian sculptor will have reproduced in the neighbourhoods of the VI ème century to substitute the old representation of it.”P1020807__1600x1200_

This vault, located on the left of the transept, is one of the places more “inhabited by the spirit” of the cathedral. It is necessary to descend 8 steps to penetrate there. On each side of the door, many éclatoirs…polignac_244
