Notre-Dame the Brown one of Tournus

The neat invoice of this Virgin out of wooden of cedar, certain details of the seat as well as the costume invite to date it from XIIth century. Notre-Dame de Rocles

Inside the church Saint-Saturnin de Rocles, the absidiole northern preserve the statue on wood of the Virgin. Sat like the virgins with the child of the Romance time, it however belongs to the style and at the time Gothic. It was found by “chance” between the two wars in the roofs of the church where it had been hidden during the revolution. High of 78cm, it holds in its right hand a floret. It is a statue of transition.

Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice d' Ebreuil

Two virgins are present at Ebreuil: one of between they is outside and dates from XVIème century. This statue is in lava of Volvic. An inscription is engraved on its base.The other is a black virgin out of wooden gilded of XIIème century. Its figure is not black color, but it has all the attributes of them. Unfortunately, its history is unknown for us. Thus not of legends neither of miracles, nor of source. There remains to us only his name: Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice…

Virgin of Meillers

One arrives at the northern vault by a narrow passage at the top of which one notices the escutcheon of a family of Meillers. (obvious druidic symbolic system, with Cernunnos, the oak and the star).There is Notre-Dame de Meillers, black virgin bourbonnaise and one of oldest, made in the tradition auvergnate. it is out of strengthened wood, and still carries traces of polychromy. Notre-Dame of Vernusses

Notre-Dame de Vernusse is a virgin in majesty in drowning of XIIème century. It is 72 cm high. Until the revolution, it was always venerated in the young elm or it was discovered. Cusset

The current statue is a copy of substitution. One still has the hands of the old statue, in the treasure of the church. They are dated from Xème century and are decorated bracelets of vermeil on which cups are fixed containing a chalcedony for the left hand and the right hand two cornalines, Roman intaglios representing Athéna-Minerve and a bouquet with a rudder. Notre-Dame de Vernouillet

It is with the museum of the friends of the old Bourbon of Bourbon Archambault that the statue of the former priory of Vernouillet is. It makes the object of a pilgrimage on September 8, festival of the nativity, for the future grooms and sterile couples. Notre-Dame of the Round of Chazeuil

On a monticule which skirts To combine it and the railroad, with some steps of the castle of Chazeuil, sélève the chappelle antique of the Round, dating from XIème century. Notre-Dame of Taxat-Senat

The supposed statue of Notre-Dame of Taxat-Senat is in the Mandet museum. This statue representing a virgin in majesty dates from XIIth century and thus comes from the area from Clermont-Ferrand. It has a cavity dug in its back and a trace of medallion on the level of the neck which leave think that it was used as reliquary, like Notre-Dame de Vauclair.
