Saint Austremoine d' Issoire

Named
formerly Isiodorensis, “Issoire beautiful” guard through its term the
memory of a Gallo-Roman origin. It is probable that a first monastery
was founded in Issoire by the holy bishop Austremoine, about the middle
of IIIe century. Saint Austremoine isthe
evangelist of Auvergne, at the beginning of IVe century. He is
initially buried in Issoire. From Ve in VIIIe centuries, the memory of
Austremoine saint falls into the lapse of memory. Its relics are
transferred to Volvic, then in Mozac. In 816, monks Benedictines come
from Charroux in Poitou, and fleeing the invasion Normans, take refuge
in Saint-Yvoine. One among, named them Gislebert, goes to Issoire and
decides to rebuild the old monastery of Austremoine.Il saint brings
back the chief of the saint.
The new monastery will be devoted into 937 per Bernard, bishop of
Clermont, under the double term of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Austremoine.
Then, about the middle of XIIe century, the monks decide the complete
rebuilding of the monastery and its abbey, with the image of the other
already built “major” churches. It is the monument which we can admire
today.
In Auvergne, when a church is dedicated to the virgin, it has vaults
abstidiales in an even number, as in Orcival. Here, the church is
dedicated to a saint, there are four absidioles, plus one dedicated to
the virgin, of different form.
The geobiologic analysis shows several rivers, two cosmotelluric
chimneys, (furnace bridge + nave/transept). Energy was activated by a
network of ways of underground rollers. Presence of a “guard”.
And since my last passage, I felt of them others, including one in the crypt.

And perhaps another in one of the side chapels.
The zodiac engraved on the external walls is splendid, and with the characteristic to comprise a thirteenth sign, an ass carried by a griffon. The ass it is the human one which cannot only raise its heart. The griffon, it is the church of Austremoine Saint…
Let us announce in the passing that Issoire represents star of ear in the constellation of the virgin posed on the ground of Auvergne, Saint Nectary being Gamma, Orcival Epsilon, Clermont Tzeta, continuously by Marsat and Vassivière.
