Brionnet

Valfleury, the black virgin

There was an old vault dedicated to the virgin where ran an healer source. Notre Dame de Valfleury was found, the Christmas day before, a little before year 800. A shepherd saw a broom in flowers. While having drawn aside the branches, it found the statue....

The Saint-Philibert abbey of Tournus

Tournus is located at the edge of the Saone on a terrace easy to defend and with the shelter of the risings. Located on great voices of communication, Tournus was already a Roman castrum. In 175, the Romans established a camp strengthened on the site....
